I love to ride out on the open road but my favorite place to ride is around the Indian Valley where I live. My favorite way to un-wind after work is to ride out to my swimming hole and jump in, then ride home. It's 30 miles round trip of perfectly twisted roads and beutiful scienery including lots of dear, wild turkey and even s herd of buffalo. While I love my gas powered bikes I got the idea of and electric one from a book I found called Secrets of the El-Ninja so I decided to build one and here it is. Almost, but never quite completed. It is made from a 1990 Kawasaki 750 Ninja. It uses lithium batteries and a Perm 132 electric motor with direct chain drive. She'll do just over 65mph and has and effective range of 50 miles. The best part of all is never stopping to fill up with $4.00 per gallon gas. I hope you will find her worthy of a spot in your magazine.
